October 26: Rewind Into Halloween Week

🎃📼 ON THIS DAY | OCTOBER 26, 2026 📼🎃

Rewind with me for a minute…

Remember walking into the video store, wandering through the aisles, picking out that perfect scary movie, and hoping somebody hadn’t already rented the last copy? Man, those were the days! 😂🍿

Today, we’re taking it back to 1986, when VHS was king, Halloween was right around the corner, and the scariest thing wasn’t always what was playing on the television. 👀

But before we hit PLAY, let’s rewind through history! From the opening of the Erie Canal and the final days of the Pony Express to the legendary gunfight near the O.K. Corral, the dawn of Pan Am’s Boeing 707 service, and the release of The Terminator—October 26 has quite a story to tell!

And with National Pumpkin Day, National Tennessee Day, and Howl at the Moon Day, there’s plenty to celebrate today! 🎃🌕

Here’s your Monday reminder: We can’t rewind yesterday, and we can’t fast-forward to tomorrow. But we’ve got today, and that’s a pretty great movie waiting to happen.

So make it a good one. After all, we only get one October 26, 2026.

Happy Monday, everybody! Halloween week is officially ON! 🎃👻
