ON THIS DAY / SPECIAL OBSERVANCES
October 5, 2026

Happy Monday, October 5! ❤️
Today feels a little different.
It’s World Teachers’ Day—a chance to recognize the people who do so much more than teach lessons from a book. Teachers encourage. They listen. They challenge. They protect. They believe in kids who sometimes haven’t learned to believe in themselves yet.
They help shape the people our children become—and far too often, they do it without the appreciation, support, resources, or recognition they deserve.
So today, thank a teacher. 🍎
It’s also World Day of Bullying Prevention and National Do Something Nice Day—and maybe those belong together more than we realize.
Stand up for somebody who needs it. Sit with the person sitting alone. Say something kind. Include somebody. Smile at a stranger. Tell someone they matter.
None of those things cost a dime.
But to the person who needs them, they can mean everything. 💙
October 5 has plenty of history behind it—from Chief Joseph and the Dalton Gang to Wilbur Wright, Harry Truman, and Steve Jobs.
But we’re still writing today’s history.
Make yours a good one.
Teachers change lives. Kindness changes the world.
See the good. Be the good. ❤️
